If so, Join the Offshore Angling Club of Western Australia!
The club is an energetic group of anglers of all ages and has been established since 10th March 1957. It was one of the first clubs that welcomed family groups to participate in various competitions. Whether you are a family group, an individual, young or old, the Offshore Angling Club caters for you.
What does the Club Offer?
The club offers fishing competitions once a month and varied social events throughout the year. Monthly fishing competitions are called Field Days and are held over weekends and based anywhere from Bremer Bay to Carnarvon.
While a four-wheel drive is an advantage on Field Days, it is not a necessity, as the club tries to ensure that there is two wheel drive access to most of it's Field Days.
Trophies are awarded to winners of Field Days in Ladies, Veterans, Open, Juniors and Mini Junior sections. Along with the field day events, are two Estuary Competitions throughout the year. In Estuary Competition, boats may also be used.
Social Events
The club holds various social events during the year such as BBQ's, Quiz Nights, Christmas Parties etc. Our main event being the Annual Dinner and Trophy Presentation Night. All function costs are kept to a minimum to encourage attendance of our members.
General Meetings
The Offshore Angling Club of WA Beach Branch meets on the first Wednesday of every month at the Warwick Sports Centre. The meetings are followed by a light supper which gives members the chance to socialise, compare fishing news and to discuss fishing locations and techniques.
Fish Tales
Members also receive a monthly club magazine called "Fish Tales", which helps to keep them informed of club activities.
